Refuge Groups

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble

Psalm 46:1
REFUGE groups are small group gatherings of 6 to 10 people. Our vision for discipleship groups is that you might find meaningful relationships with people who will come alongside you as you grow in knowing God and are learning to serve him.
We encourage you to be involved through either hosting a small group in your home or facilitating a small group by leading people together in someone's home. Rather than these groups just becoming another bible study, the groups focus upon four biblical activities; discussions from Sunday sermons (teaching), spending time together serving others, prayer, and sharing in the Lord's supper or meals together (Acts 2:42).

Wednesday Night Schedule - We encourage the majority of small groups to meet on Wednesday nights from 6:30 to approx. an hour and a half in length. Rather than focusing on a midweek church service we believe that effective discipleship occurs through a consistent schedule of smaller groups which are sharing life and serving together.

Southshore Men's Breakfast - The 2nd Saturday of the month at 8:30am in Metairie.

Ladies Fellowship on the Southshore - The last Wednesday of the month at the Woodlawn Sanctuary from 6-8pm. Sometimes the ladies group meets on the fourth Wednesday or the fifth Wednesday depending on the month.
